The Boro Launch Point

An early-start program for incoming Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Edinboro students

 

The Boro Launch Point program is designed to support students with verified disabilities who have been accepted to Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Edinboro by offering an early college experience prior to their first term. Through participation in courses, workshops, social activities and weekly meetings, students identify their strengths in a higher education setting and gain clarity around areas for continued growth.

Highlights

Students enroll in English 1100: Introduction to College Composition while building confidence through:

  • Weekly meetings with Office for Students with Disabilities staff
  • Skill development with trained student mentors
  • Support from a writing specialist
  • Structured study sessions and workshops
  • Living and dining on campus

Eligibility

To participate, students must:

  • Be accepted to and enrolled at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Edinboro
  • Be registered with the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Office for Students with Disabilities
  • Have a documented diagnosis of ASD, LD, ADHD/ADD, or a physical, visual, auditory, or mental health disability
  • Obtain required clearances prior to arriving on campus

Schedule:

  • Move-in: July 5
  • On-campus learning: July 6-31
  • Move-out: August 1
  • Virtual week: August 3-7

Cost:

  • In state: $3,473.23
  • Out of state: $4,077.13

**The Office for Vocational Rehabilitation may offer funding for eligible families
